What This Page Covers

Signwright (signwright.shop) is an independent journal about hand-painted signage. This policy covers the small amount of information involved in reading the site or trying the newsletter form. It does not cover third-party sites we link to, which have their own policies.

Information We Collect

We keep this deliberately minimal. Visiting the site generates the same basic server log data most web hosts record automatically — request time, page requested, and general technical details like browser type. We don't run visitor accounts, and we don't ask for personal details to read anything on the site.

The Newsletter Form

When you enter an email address into the newsletter form on the homepage, that address is stored only in your own browser's local storage. It is not transmitted to, or stored on, any Signwright server. If you clear your browser data, that record is gone as well.

Cookies and Local Storage

We don't set tracking cookies or run third-party advertising trackers. The only client-side storage in use is the local newsletter flag described above, which stays on your device.

Third-Party Links

Articles occasionally link to outside sources for further reading. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we'd encourage reading their own policies before sharing anything with them.

Children's Privacy

Signwright is a general-audience craft and trade publication. We don't knowingly collect information from children, and we don't direct any part of the site at them specifically.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page. We don't expect it to change often, given how little we actually collect.
